WonderAtlas: 3D Earth Map (“WonderAtlas,” “we,” “our,” or “the App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, processed, and shared when you use WonderAtlas.

By using WonderAtlas, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

WonderAtlas is designed to provide an interactive world exploration experience, including 3D maps, landmarks, countries, guided journeys, street-level experiences where available, nearby places, favorites, bucket lists, and virtual passport features.

Depending on the features you use and the services included in the current version of the App, the following information may be processed.

Location Information

If you choose to use features such as Nearby or other location-based functionality, WonderAtlas may request permission to access your device location.

Location permission is optional. We use location information only as necessary to provide location-based features, such as identifying your position on a map or displaying relevant places around you.

You can disable location access at any time through your device's iOS Settings.

App Usage and Technical Information

WonderAtlas or services integrated into the App may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the App. Depending on the services enabled, this may include device information, operating-system information, app version, diagnostic information, crash information, and interactions with App features.

Saved Exploration Data

Information such as favorites, bucket-list destinations, visited places, passport stamps, journey progress, and other exploration preferences may be stored locally on your device.

Where information is stored only on your device, we do not receive that information unless a particular feature explicitly transmits it to an external service.

Purchase Information

WonderAtlas may offer optional subscriptions and other in-app purchases through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card or banking details.

The App may receive information necessary to determine your subscription or entitlement status, such as whether WonderAtlas Pro is active.

2. How We Use Information

Information processed through WonderAtlas may be used to:

• Provide and maintain App functionality
• Display maps, 3D experiences, landmarks, and destinations
• Provide location-based and Nearby functionality when permission is granted
• Maintain favorites, visited places, passport progress, and other App preferences
• Verify purchases and premium access
• Diagnose crashes, errors, and technical problems
• Maintain the security and reliability of the App
• Improve App functionality and user experience
• Respond to support or privacy requests
• Comply with applicable legal requirements

We do not use personal information for purposes materially different from those described in this Privacy Policy without providing appropriate notice or obtaining consent where required.

3. Location Permissions

WonderAtlas may request location access when you use functionality that benefits from knowing your current location.

Location access is not required for general world exploration.

You can deny the request and continue using other available features of WonderAtlas.

You can subsequently change location permissions through:

iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → WonderAtlas

The availability and behavior of location settings are controlled by iOS.

4. Maps, 3D and Third-Party Content

WonderAtlas may use third-party technologies to provide maps, 3D geographic experiences, street-level imagery, geographic information, destination imagery, or related functionality.

When your device communicates with a third-party service, that provider may process technical or request-related information necessary to deliver its service.

Map, 3D, street-level imagery, and geographic coverage may vary depending on destination and provider availability.

5. Third-Party Services

WonderAtlas may use third-party services or SDKs for functionality such as maps, subscriptions, diagnostics, analytics, crash reporting, or other technical services.

These providers may process information according to their respective privacy policies and only as necessary for the services they provide.

We require third parties that receive user data from the App to provide protections consistent with applicable requirements and the commitments described in this Privacy Policy.

Apple requires developers to account for data collected by third-party SDKs when completing App Store privacy disclosures. (Apple Developer)

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

WonderAtlas Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Apple handles payment processing. WonderAtlas does not directly receive your complete payment information.

Information associated with Apple purchases is also subject to Apple's applicable terms and privacy practices.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions from your Apple Account subscription settings.

7. Tracking and Advertising

WonderAtlas does not sell your personal information.

We do not use personal information for cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking unless such functionality is explicitly introduced and the permissions required by Apple and applicable law are obtained.

If WonderAtlas introduces functionality that constitutes tracking under Apple's policies, the App will request permission using Apple's AppTrackingTransparency framework where required.

Apple requires ATT permission when app data is linked with third-party data for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, or shared with a data broker. (Apple Developer)

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide App functionality, satisfy legitimate operational needs, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements.

Information stored only locally on your device may be removed by deleting the applicable data within the App, where such controls are provided, or by deleting the App, subject to iOS behavior and backups.

Information processed by third-party providers may be subject to their respective retention policies.

9. Data Deletion and Privacy Requests

You may contact us to ask questions about personal information we control or request its deletion where applicable.

We may need sufficient information to understand and process your request. We will handle applicable privacy requests in accordance with relevant laws.

You may also revoke permissions such as location access directly through iOS Settings.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information handled through WonderAtlas.

However, no electronic transmission, software system, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

WonderAtlas is a general world-exploration application and is not designed to knowingly solicit personal information from children in violation of applicable privacy laws.

12. International Users

WonderAtlas may be available in multiple countries and regions.

Depending on the services used by the App, information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you reside.

Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers of personal information.

You can control certain privacy-related functionality through WonderAtlas and iOS.

You may:

• Allow or deny location permission
• Change permissions through iOS Settings

• Manage Apple subscriptions through your Apple Account
• Remove locally stored App information by deleting the App, subject to device backups and applicable functionality

We may update this Privacy Policy as WonderAtlas evolves or when legal, regulatory, or operational requirements change.

When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

Material changes may also be communicated through the App or other appropriate methods when required.
